Position Overview

The Dean of the School of Mass Communication will provide academic leadership, strategic direction, and administrative oversight to the School. Key Responsibilities

1. Academic Leadership:

• Develop and execute a strategic vision for the School of Liberal Arts, aligning with the university's overall mission.
• Lead curriculum design and innovation across a diverse range of liberal arts disciplines.
• Foster interdisciplinary collaboration between the School of Liberal Arts and other schools within the university.

2. Faculty Development:

• Recruit, mentor, and retain highly qualified faculty members.
• Promote a culture of research, teaching excellence, and professional development.

3. Student Success:

• Ensure a robust student-centered learning environment that encourages critical thinking, creativity, and ethical leadership.
• Collaborate with student affairs to develop extracurricular activities that complement academic programs.

4. Administrative Oversight:

• Manage the School's budget, resources, and facilities effectively.
• Oversee accreditation processes, academic policies, and quality assurance standards.
• Serve as a representative of the School at university-wide committees and external forums.

5. Community Engagement:

• Build partnerships with industry, government, and academic institutions to enhance the School's reputation and opportunities for students and faculty.

Qualifications

• Academic Credentials: Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university.
• Experience: At least 10+ years of experience in higher education, with a proven track record in academic leadership, program development, and research.
