About this role
Work fully remotely for a UK SaaS PropTech business!
Own the product, the AI inside it, and the AI agents that write the code
Guided Home is a UK PropTech platform that digitises the construction handover process: defects, compliance, and property documents (EPCs, gas certificates, snagging lists, surveys) in one place.
Our product has AI at its centre, and our code is increasingly written by AI agents under engineering supervision. This is the role that owns all of it. You will not join a big team and own a slice. You will be the engineer: a founder-partner working directly with the CEO. Internally we call this role Lead Product Engineer, because you own the product's outcomes, not just its code.
What you will own
- The platform. A live multi-tenant SaaS on ASP.NET Core, Angular, and Azure, used by UK housebuilders and homeowners every day. You run the infrastructure end to end: releases, monitoring, security and tenancy, and integrations with tools like Procore and Salesforce.
- The AI product. Hugo, our in-app assistant, answers plain-language questions ("when does my gas cert expire?") straight from a customer's own documents. Doc Assure, our compliance engine, turns messy property documents into structured data and pass/fail decisions. You drive both forward on Azure AI Foundry - sharper retrieval, real evaluation, and AI findings that create defects and tasks instead of sitting on a dashboard - and evolve our MCP server into a full plugin catalog.
- The delivery machine. AI agents work tickets in parallel lanes, and every change passes human review before it ships. You own, operate, and advance this harness, including running open-source models where cost, privacy, or UK data rules call for it.
Why this role
- A CV almost nobody else will have. You will run a live UK enterprise platform, ship real AI systems to paying customers, and operate an AI-agent coding pipeline - all in one role. Most engineers never get to own even one of these.
- The front edge, daily. MCP servers with write paths, agentic orchestration, Azure AI Foundry, self-hosted open-source models. You will be shipping with them every day, not reading about them.
- Real production, real users. Your work ships to actual homeowners and housebuilders and comes back with real usage and real feedback. Not a sandbox, not a proof of concept.
- Founder-partner, not a cog. A direct line to the CEO. No layers of managers, no ticket queue. Your decisions move the company, and you see the impact within weeks.
The practical details
- 36 - 45 LPA, full-time, permanent
- Fully remote from anywhere in India
- UK business hours (roughly 1:30 pm 10:00 pm IST)
What you must have
- Strong current C#/.NET (ASP.NET Core, EF Core) and SQL Server in production work. This is the spine of the role, not a nice-to-have.
- Production LLM features shipped to real paying customers: RAG, embeddings and vector search, evaluation. Not side projects, not POCs.
- Azure depth with real infrastructure ownership: App Service, Functions, SQL, DevOps, Key Vault, monitoring and cost.
- AI agents (Claude Code, Cursor, or similar) as your primary coding workflow today, plus shipped tool-use (MCP or equivalent) where AI acts on real systems.
- Performance instincts at the data layer: you can find and fix N+1 queries, add projections and pagination, and make an API safe for agent-scale traffic.
- Excellent written and spoken English. You will work directly with UK leadership and enterprise clients.
Nice to have
Built an MCP server. Self-hosted open-source models (Llama, Mistral). PropTech, regtech, or another regulated industry. Auth0/OIDC. Generative UI.
Excellent written and spoken English is non-negotiable. You will lead technical conversations with UK leadership and enterprise clients, and write detailed technical specifications that both humans and AI agents execute.
