Opten Power is building the operating system for the global energy transition: one platform where clean energy gets bought, sold, and financed. Green energy is the cheapest power on earth, yet its adoption is under 15%. We are closing that gap, starting with India's commercial and industrial power demand and scaling globally. Our PPA marketplace is live today, with 4 GW+ of sellable capacity, 20+ IPP partners, and buyers across 16+ states. This trillion-dollar shift has to start somewhere. We are building it from India, for the world.

The Role

This is not a regular 9-to-5. There is no fixed lane and no narrow job description. You will sit directly with the founders and work on whatever moves the company forward that week, and what moves a company forward changes every week. Expect your time to genuinely split across deals and sales, product, and analysis, often in the same week. One month you are modeling a multi-crore power deal; the next you are shaping how the platform works or sitting in on the conversation that closes it. Come build with us, as an early hire, in one of the largest economic shifts of this decade.

What you'll work on

• Deals and B2B sales: pipeline, proposals, and client conversations with CFOs and promoters of India's largest industrial companies

• Financial analysis: Energy modelling, savings, payback, and IRR on live renewable energy transactions

• Product: shaping the Energy OS with our team, from what buyers see to how deals move through it

• Regulatory and market intelligence: cracking open-access questions across 16+ state rulebooks that even industry veterans wrestle with

• Internal tools and automation: building the systems and AI workflows that make a small team run like a large one

• Content and brand: positioning Opten in front of India's largest industries and the capital backing them

• And whatever else the mission demands.

What we look for

• A recent 2026 graduate from Tier 1 college - Engineering or DU, who hasn't landed the right opportunity yet, and knows they're capable of far more. This opportunity is convertible to a full time role subject to performance.

• #1: High agency. Ownership above everything. You don't wait to be told. You see a problem, you take it, you finish it.

• Raw intelligence, and proof of it: something you've built, run, sold, written, or figured out on your own. Show us, don't tell us.

• Working command of the craft: Excel and financial modeling, clean writing and decks you can produce unsupervised, and real fluency with AI tools

• Genuine interest in the generalist path: product, B2B sales, investment banking, and everything in between

• No energy-sector experience required.

Internship Details & Growth Path

• Duration: 3-month internship, based in Gurgaon (hybrid)

• Full-time path: Strong performers receive a full-time offer as an early hire

• Stipend: ₹25,000 per month

• Exposure: direct work with the founders on live transactions and company priorities from day one
