Forward Deployment Engineer - Java, React & Cloud Infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Develop and customize applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs.
• Provision and configure cloud infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or GCP using Terraform or equivalent Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
• Execute Day 0 activities, including environment readiness, dependency validation, access configuration, networking, and infrastructure setup.
• Execute Day 1 activities, including application deployment, configuration, API integration, smoke testing, and troubleshooting.
• Deploy containerized applications using Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins to automate builds and deployments.
• Implement security configurations, identity and access management, secrets management, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with customer engineering, architecture, security, and platform teams to resolve technical issues and deliver solutions.
• Maintain deployment documentation, automation scripts, and operational handover guides.

Required Skills

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, React, and REST APIs.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure, preferably Azure, including networking, compute, and identity services.
• Proficiency in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD automation.
• Scripting knowledge in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Understanding of OAuth 2.0/OIDC, RBAC, application monitoring, and troubleshooting.
• Strong problem-solving and customer-facing communication skills.

Qualifications

• 5-8 years of experience in software development, cloud engineering, DevOps, or platform engineering.
• Ability to independently develop, provision, deploy, and troubleshoot applications in enterprise customer environments.
• Good to Have: Experience with AKS, Azure API Management/Apigee, Microsoft Entra ID/Okta, and enterprise developer platforms.
