Forward Deployed Software Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and deploy AI-powered applications and agentic systems using Python.
• Build backend services, APIs, microservices, and scalable infrastructure for AI applications.
• Develop AI agents capable of reasoning, planning, tool calling, workflow execution, and autonomous task completion.
• Work with LLMs, RAG, embeddings, vector databases, prompt engineering, and AI orchestration frameworks.
• Build agent workflows using frameworks such as LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or similar.
• Implement tool/function calling, MCP, memory, context management, and multi-agent workflows.
• Integrate AI models with internal/external APIs, databases, search systems, and business applications.
• Develop reliable backend pipelines for LLM inference, data processing, evaluation, monitoring, and observability.
• Design mechanisms for handling hallucinations, guardrails, retries, failures, and agent safety.
• Optimise AI applications for latency, scalability, reliability, and cost.
• Collaborate with ML engineers, product engineers, and product teams to take AI solutions from prototype to production.

Requirements:

• Strong Python programming and backend development experience.
• Experience building REST APIs / microservices using FastAPI, Flask, Django, or similar.
• Strong understanding of LLMs and Generative AI.
• Hands-on experience building AI agents / agentic workflows.
• Experience with RAG, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search.
• Experience with tool calling/function calling / MCP.
• Knowledge of LangGraph, LangChain, CrewAI, AutoGen, or comparable frameworks.
• Experience with databases such as PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Cloud experience with AWS / GCP / Azure.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD is preferred.
• Understanding of distributed systems, asynchronous processing, queues, and scalable backend architecture.
