In this role, you design, build, and operate scalable data pipelines and platforms that enable analytics, reporting, and advanced data driven use cases embedded directly within customer environments and fast-moving delivery teams. You translate business and analytical requirements into robust, maintainable data solutions and ensure that data is reliable, secure, and accessible across the organization. You work closely with customers and combine cloud native software engineering, enterprise data engineering, and production grade AI capabilities to solve complex real world business problems at speed. You are accountable for the technical quality, scalability, and business impact of delivered solutions within customer engagements. You operate at the intersection of engineering, data, AI, and customer delivery, collaborating closely with product, architecture, ML, and customer teams to accelerate adoption of AI driven enterprise solutions while maintaining alignment with SAP engineering and security standards

What you Bring

You have experience in data engineering, including the design and implementation of scalable data pipelines, ETL/ELT frameworks, and enterprise data models. You operate effectively in an Agentic AI environment, contributing to the design, implementation, and responsible adoption of AI agents within complex business processes. You are proficient in SQL and Python and have experience working with modern data platforms, including data warehouses, data lakes, distributed processing frameworks, lakehouse architectures, and cloud-based data technologies. Your background includes data quality, data governance, compliance, PII protection, and data lifecycle management within enterprise environments. You translate business and analytical requirements into scalable, reliable, and maintainable data solutions while collaborating effectively across technical and business teams. You design, develop, and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, apply enterprise data modeling, workflow orchestration, and system integration practices, and leverage technologies such as PySpark, Databricks, Apache Airflow, SAP HANA, Parquet, Delta Lake, and Kafka to support large-scale batch and real-time data processing. You also apply CI/CD practices, Docker, Git, automated testing, and DevOps principles to build secure, scalable, and operationally efficient data engineering solutions.

What you Build

In this role, you will:

You design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data models that enable analytics, reporting, and AI-driven use cases. You integrate data from multiple internal and external sources while ensuring data quality, consistency, reliability, and accessibility across the data landscape. You build and optimize data processing workflows using modern data platforms and cloud-based technologies, ensuring that solutions meet enterprise requirements for performance, security, governance, and compliance. You work closely with customer projects and cross-functional teams to rapidly understand business processes, technical environments, and operational challenges, translating requirements into practical and scalable data engineering solutions. You collaborate with data scientists, analysts, product teams, and business stakeholders to deliver efficient data architectures and processing frameworks that support analytical and operational objectives. You monitor, troubleshoot, and continuously improve data pipelines and platforms to maintain operational stability, reliability, and performance. You identify reusable patterns, accelerators, and opportunities for product and process improvements from customer engagements, contributing to engineering standards, frameworks, best practices, and reusable components that improve efficiency, consistency, and maintainability across teams and solutions.
