Forward-Deployed Engineer

FDEs are how Vaani turns a pilot into production. You sit inside the customers problem - a banks collections floor, an insurers renewals desk - until their voice agent is live, measured, and better than what it replaced.

This is the highest-leverage engineering role in the company. Roughly 90% of revenue flows through deployments FDEs own, and you are ring-fenced from support queues so the pipeline stays protected.

• Run the 100-day pilot arc: discovery and design, pilot launch by week three, measurement, then the go/no-go review

• Design call flows and integrate with the customers telephony and CRM - Twilio, Plivo, Salesforce, HubSpot and the rest

• Read production transcripts, find where the agent fails, and fix it - sometimes in configuration, sometimes by filing the real bug against the engine

• Carry the KPI conversation with the customer honestly, including when the answer is no-go

• Strong general engineering - Python or Go, APIs, webhooks, debugging systems you did not write
+
• Comfortable in front of a customers VP without an account manager in the room
+
• Bias to ship. A working agent on Friday beats a perfect design doc next month
+
• Bonus: BFSI domain exposure, contact-centre tooling, or prior FDE/solutions-engineering experience
