Job Description Foreman / Supervisor (Civil Work)

Position: Civil Foreman / Site Supervisor
Department: Civil / Construction
Location: Sikkim
Experience: 56 years preferred

Job Responsibilities

• Supervise and manage daily civil construction activities at the site.
• Read and understand drawings, layouts, and construction specifications.
• Allocate work to masons, helpers, and other site workers.
• Monitor construction work to ensure it is completed as per approved drawings and quality standards.
• Coordinate with engineers, contractors, and subcontractors for smooth execution of work.
• Check materials, tools, and equipment required for daily activities.
• Monitor manpower attendance and daily work progress.
• Maintain daily site records and report progress to the Site Engineer/Project Manager.
• Ensure workers follow proper safety procedures and use required PPE.
• Identify site issues and coordinate with the concerned engineer for timely solutions.
• Ensure work is completed within the planned schedule.
• Maintain discipline and proper housekeeping at the construction site.

Required Skills

• Good knowledge of civil construction methods and site activities.
• Ability to manage and supervise workers effectively.
• Basic understanding of civil drawings and measurements.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of construction safety practices.
• Basic knowledge of quantity estimation and material requirements is an advantage.
