Job Title - Food Technologist / Food Technology Executive

Department - Quality Assurance & Food Production

Reporting To -Director / Plant Head / Operations Manager

Job Purpose

To ensure product quality, food safety, regulatory compliance, and process efficiency in the production of Ready-to-Cook (RTC) and Ready-to-Eat (RTE) products. The role involves product development, quality control, documentation, and implementation of food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Quality Assurance & Food Safety

• Monitor and maintain food quality standards throughout production.
• Implement and ensure compliance with FSSAI, HACCP, GMP, and GHP requirements.
• Conduct regular hygiene and sanitation audits.
• Monitor Critical Control Points (CCPs) and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and company policies.

Product Development

• Assist in the development of new RTC and RTE products.
• Standardize recipes, batch sizes, and production processes.
• Conduct shelf-life studies and product trials.
• Improve product quality, taste consistency, and yield.

Quality Control

• Perform raw material, in-process, and finished product inspections.
• Verify product specifications and quality parameters.
• Monitor storage temperatures and handling practices.
• Investigate customer complaints and quality issues.

Documentation & Compliance

• Maintain quality and production records.
• Prepare SOPs, process documents, and quality checklists.
• Maintain production and quality reports.
• Support internal and external audits.

Training & Monitoring

• Train production staff on food safety, hygiene, and SOP compliance.
• Conduct awareness programs on quality and sanitation practices.
• Ensure personal hygiene and workplace discipline among staff.

Inventory & Vendor Quality Management

• Evaluate raw material quality from suppliers.
• Coordinate with procurement for vendor approval and evaluation.
• Monitor packaging material quality and specifications.

Qualifications

• B.Tech / M.Tech in Food Technology
• B.Sc / M.Sc in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or related field
• HACCP or Food Safety Certification preferred

Experience

• 3 to 7 years of experience in Food Processing, Central Kitchen, FMCG, RTC/RTE Manufacturing, QSR, or Food Industry.
• Freshers with relevant qualifications may also be considered.

• Experienced (1 -3 years): 20,000 - 30,000 per month
• Experienced (3 -7 years): 30,000 - 50,000 per month
• Senior Food Technologist: As per experience and company policy
