Fleet Manager

Role & responsibilities

1. Cab & Bike Aggregator Operations

• Recruit and onboard cab owner-drivers, bike taxi riders, and fleet partners.
• Manage driver availability, ride allocation, acceptance rates, and cancellations.
• Develop and expand the cab and bike taxi network across Delhi NCR.
• Monitor driver performance, customer complaints, and ride completion.
• Manage driver incentives, settlements, and retention.

2. Logistics & Delivery Operations

• Recruit and onboard two-wheeler delivery partners, commercial vehicle owners, and logistics fleet operators.
• Manage first-mile, middle-mile, and last-mile delivery operations.
• Coordinate parcel pickups, dispatches, deliveries, and returns.
• Monitor delivery turnaround time, successful delivery rates, and operational efficiency.
• Develop partnerships with e-commerce companies, local businesses, retailers, and logistics providers.
• Manage delivery partner productivity, route optimization, and fleet utilization.
• Ensure timely deliveries and compliance with agreed service-level agreements (SLAs).

3. Fleet Acquisition & Expansion

• Build and expand a network of cab drivers, bike taxi riders, delivery executives, and commercial vehicle owners.
• Identify and onboard fleet vendors and transportation partners.
• Establish driver recruitment channels and referral programs.
• Maintain an updated database of drivers, vehicles, and delivery partners.

4. Daily Fleet Management

• Monitor active drivers, delivery partners, and vehicle availability.
• Ensure adequate fleet deployment during peak demand.
• Resolve operational issues, breakdowns, cancellations, and driver disputes.
• Coordinate with customer support, dispatch, and business development teams.
• Track operational costs, revenue, driver earnings, and fleet profitability.

5. Compliance & Safety

• Ensure verification of driving licences, vehicle registrations, insurance, permits, and required commercial documents.
• Maintain compliance with applicable passenger transportation, bike taxi, and logistics regulations.
• Monitor driver safety, vehicle fitness, and service quality.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• Experience: 48 years in fleet management, transportation, mobility aggregation, logistics, or delivery operations.
• Preferred Experience: Hands-on experience in cab aggregators, bike taxi aggregators, e-commerce delivery platforms, logistics companies, or last-mile delivery businesses.
• Experience with companies such as Uber, Ola, Rapido, Porter, Delhivery, Shadowfax, Borzo, or similar transportation and delivery platforms will be an advantage.
• Proven experience in driver recruitment, fleet onboarding, vendor management, and fleet expansion.
• Strong knowledge of Delhi NCR transportation and logistics markets.
• Understanding of fleet economics, driver incentives, commissions, and delivery pricing.
• Proficiency in fleet management systems, dispatch applications, GPS tracking, and Excel.
• Strong leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of new cab, bike taxi, and delivery partners onboarded.
• Number of active drivers and delivery partners.
• Fleet utilization and driver retention.
• Ride acceptance and completion rates.
• Delivery success rates and on-time performance.
• Reduction in cancellations and operational downtime.
• Revenue and profitability per active vehicle.
• Driver and delivery partner satisfaction.
• Compliance and documentation accuracy.

Preferred candidate profile

We are specifically looking for a candidate who has worked in both passenger mobility aggregation and logistics/delivery fleet operations. Candidates with proven experience building driver networks, managing large fleets, handling last-mile delivery operations, and scaling cab/bike aggregation businesses will be given preference.
