Job Title: ITI Fitter Trainee

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reports To: Production Supervisor / Manufacturing Manager

Location: Indore, Madhya Pradesh

Employment Type: Trainee

Job Purpose
To assist the production team in the assembly, fitting, and fabrication of precision instrument components, while learning shop-floor processes, tools, and quality standards under supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in fitting, assembling, and aligning mechanical components/parts as per drawings and work instructions
• Operate hand tools, power tools, and basic machine tools (drilling, grinding, filing, cutting) under supervision
• Read and interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications
• Perform routine measurements using calipers, micrometers, and gauges to check dimensional accuracy
• Support senior fitters/technicians in machine setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area (5S practices)
• Follow all safety protocols, use PPE correctly, and report unsafe conditions
• Maintain daily production/work logs as instructed
• Learn and adhere to company quality standards (ISO 9001:2015)

Qualifications & Skills

• ITI certificate in Fitter trade (mandatory)
• Basic knowledge of hand tools, measuring instruments, and workshop safety
• Ability to read simple engineering drawings (preferred)
• Willingness to learn and work under guidance
• Good physical stamina; comfortable with shop-floor work

• Basic communication skills in Hindi/English

Experience

• Freshers welcome; prior internship/apprenticeship exposure is a plus

Training Period

• Typically 612 months, with performance review before confirmation/absorption into a regular Fitter role
