Fitter Trainee

Role Purpose
Support fitting, finishing, and assembly of aerospace components while developing practical skills under experienced supervision.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with fitting, drilling, reaming, tapping, deburring, and assembly as instructed.
• Learn to read engineering drawings and understand basic dimensions and tolerances.
• Use hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments after training.
• Ensure components are free from burrs, sharp edges, and handling damage.
• Follow approved work instructions and maintain component identification.
• Report defects, dimensional concerns, or tool damage to the supervisor.
• Maintain tools, workstations, and assigned production records.
• Follow safety, PPE, 5S, and Foreign Object Debris (FOD) prevention practices.

Required Skills

• Basic knowledge of fitting operations, tools, and measurements.
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn precision workmanship.
• Discipline, teamwork, and ability to follow instructions.
