FIS Profile 7 Core Banking Developer / Migration SME

Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced FIS Profile 7 Core Banking Developer and Subject Matter Expert (SME) to lead the modernization and migration of a legacy core banking platform to a modern, cloud-native architecture. The candidate will serve as the primary technical authority on FIS Profile 7 architecture, file structures, application modules (DDA, Savings, WebClient, CSR, Teller), and operational workflows to drive source system analysis, field-level data mapping, and reconciliation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the technical authority on FIS Profile 7 data architecture, file layouts, record types, and system-of-record hierarchies.

• Author and review field-level Source-to-Target (S2T) data mapping specifications, code table translations, and data type conversions (binary, packed-decimal).

• Translate and document embedded Profile business rules governing daily interest accruals, posting schedules, NSF/overdraft fees, account reconciliation, and dormancy/escheatment.

• Collaborate with data engineering teams to define batch extraction strategies, ETL pipeline sequencing, and downstream integration touchpoints.

• Design and execute data reconciliation frameworks, investigate balance breaks (GL, accounts, transaction history), and support cutover dress rehearsals.

• Translate legacy core operations logic for modern platform architects and project stakeholders.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 7+ years of hands-on technical development experience with FIS Profile (or Sanchez Profile) in production banking environments.

• Deep functional and architectural knowledge of core modules: DDA (Demand Deposit Accounts), Savings, WebClient, CSR, and Teller.

• Strong technical grasp of Profiles underlying architecture, file structures, and data manipulation (PSL, GT.M, or Cach /MUMPS).

• Proven track record supporting core banking data migrations, conversions, or parallel runs.

• Hands-on experience developing source-to-target mapping logic and data reconciliation runbooks.

• Excellent technical documentation and analytical problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Exposure to Gen 3 / cloud-native core banking platforms (Thought Machine Vault, Mambu, Temenos).

• Familiarity with ETL/ELT workflows and tools (Informatica, Talend, Apache NiFi, dbt).

• Knowledge of US banking regulations (Reg E, Reg D, Reg Z, AML).
