Position: Firmware & Driver Validation Engineer
Experience: 2-3 Years
Location: BANGALORE

Role & responsibilities :
Top 3 mandatory (primary) skills:•
23 years of experience in software validation (Windows and Linux), firmware validation.
•Strong understanding of Windows operating system internals and device driver concepts.
•Experience with scripting and automation using Python, PowerShell, or similar languages.
•Good understanding of:Sensors and systems,Firmware-driver interaction,ACPI and power management concepts,Hardware/software integration
Good to have:
Experience analyzing logs, traces, and debugging complex system issues.
•Experience working with Windows Driver Frameworks (KMDF/UMDF).
•Experience with Microsoft HLK/WHQL certification.
•Knowledge of I2C, I3C, SPI, UART, USB, or HID protocols.
Description:
Validate sensor firmware, device drivers, and related software components on Windows and Linux platforms.
•Develop and execute functional, regression, reliability, and system-level validation plans.
•Perform sensor feature validation including:Accelerometer,Gyroscope,Magnetometer,Ambient Light Sensor (ALS),Human Presence Detection (HPD),eCompass,Inclinometer
oSensor-based user experiences and motion features
•Debug driver, firmware, BIOS, and system-level issues using logs, traces, and diagnostic tools.
•Analyze failures and work closely with firmware, driver, BIOS, and platform engineering teams to drive issue resolution.
•Execute power-state validation, ACPI testing, reboot cycles, suspend/resume, and reliability testing.
•Support Microsoft HLK/WHQL certification activities and compliance testing.
•Validate SFH tools and applications SDK/DLLs, and diagnostic utilities.
•Create and maintain automated validation tests and CI/CD integrations.
