Job Title: Firmware Developer

Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, unit test, and debug x86/ARM-based UEFI BIOS and low-level firmware components.
• Lead board bring-up activities for reference platforms, prototype designs, and customer hardware.
• Collaborate closely with silicon design, hardware, validation, and OS driver teams to resolve low-level platform issues.
• Implement industry-standard interfaces and bus protocols including PCIe, USB, NVMe, SATA, I2C/SPI, and Power Management (ACPI/SoC power states).
• Debug complex hardware-firmware integration issues using hardware debuggers, logic analyzers, and protocol tools.

Required Technical Skills & Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor s or Master s degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of hands-on experience in BIOS/UEFI firmware development.
• Programming: Expert-level proficiency in C programming and x86/ARM assembly language.
• Firmware Codebases: Practical experience with at least one major BIOS codebase: AMI (Aptio), Insyde, Phoenix BIOS, or open-source solutions (EDK II, coreboot).
• Standards & Protocols: Strong knowledge of UEFI specifications, ACPI, SMBIOS, PCIe hierarchy, NVMe, and power management states (C-states/P-states).
