Financial Controller - East Africa

Job Summary:
We are looking for an experienced Financial Controller to manage the company s overall finance and accounting operations. The candidate will be responsible for financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory compliance, internal controls, and supporting management in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day finance and accounting operations, including GL, AP, AR, reconciliations, and month-end closing.
• Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, cash flow, working capital, and variance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS/GAAP, taxation, statutory requirements, and company policies.
• Coordinate internal and external audits and maintain effective internal financial controls.
• Monitor financial performance, costs, profitability, and identify areas for improvement.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Manage banking relationships, statutory filings, and other financial matters.
• Lead, guide, and develop the finance and accounting team.
• Ensure proper utilization and accuracy of the company s ERP system.
