Financial Accountant

Role & responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting activities using Zoho Books and Tally.
• Perform monthly closing activities, including journal entries, depreciation and provisions.
• Manage bank, GST, TDS and intercompany reconciliations.
• Support timely GST and other statutory compliance requirements.
• Finalise monthly payroll and maintain accurate payroll records.
• Prepare monthly MIS and Balance Sheet reports.
• Monitor receivables and coordinate with the AR team for collection follow-ups.
• Maintain petty cash and supporting documentation.
• Review accounting records, identify discrepancies and ensure timely resolution.
• Ensure month-end closing and reporting are completed within defined timelines.

Qualifications:

• Candidates should possess strong skills in Finance and Financial Reporting to support accurate, timely, and compliant financial disclosures.
• Candidates should possess robust Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide meaningful insights for decision-making.
• Candidates should possess expertise in preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
• Candidates should possess proficiency with Accounting Software and related tools used for recording transactions, managing ledgers, and generating reports.
• Good understanding of accounting principles, tax regulations, and compliance requirements, preferably within professional services or consulting environments.
• Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, client-focused setting.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work closely with cross-functional teams and adapt to evolving business needs.
