The role As a Finance Master Data Analyst , you will support the maintenance, quality, and day-to-day operations of Finance Master Data across the organization. You will play a key role in ensuring that financial master data is accurate, complete, and maintained in line with defined standards and governance rules. Working closely with Finance teams, GBS operations, and IT, you will execute master data changes, perform data quality checks, and support process improvements. This role is highly operational and detail-oriented, with a strong focus on data accuracy, compliance, and timely processing.

1. Finance Master Data maintenance (core responsibility) You execute the creation, update, and deactivation of Finance Master Data objects in line with approved requests and governance procedures. This includes: •             Organizational units (Company Codes, Business Areas, Segments) •             Controlling objects (Cost Centers, Profit Centers, WBS Elements) •             Finance-related aspects of Customer and Vendor (Business Partner) master data •             Fixed Assets and Asset Classes •             Tax and Bank master data You ensure all changes are processed accurately, timely, and in accordance with defined naming conventions and standards.
2. Master Data request handling •             Process master data requests via MD workflow tools e.g. MDG •             Validate completeness and correctness of requests before execution •             Follow defined approval workflows and escalate issues when needed •             Ensure proper documentation and traceability of all changes
3. Data quality and validation •             Perform regular data quality checks and reconciliations •             Identify inconsistencies, duplicates, or missing attributes •             Support data cleansing and correction activities •             Execute predefined controls and validation rules in ERP systems
4. Governance and compliance support •             Ensure adherence to global master data policies and standards •             Support audit requests by providing data extracts and change logs •             Maintain proper documentation of executed changes •             Flag non-compliant requests or deviations from standards
5. Support to Finance and business users •             Act as a point of contact for master data-related queries •             Provide guidance on master data structure, usage, and request process •             Support issue resolution related to incorrect or missing master data •             Collaborate with Controlling, Accounting, Tax, and Treasury teams
6. System execution (ERP focus), where required •             Maintain master data in ERP systems (e.g. SAP S/4HANA) •             Ensure correct assignment of attributes, hierarchies, and relationships •             Support testing of system changes, enhancements, or new functionalities •             Assist in maintaining master data templates and upload tools
7. Reporting support •             Provide master data extracts for reporting and controlling purposes •             Support reconciliation between master data and reporting structures •             Assist in maintaining hierarchies used in management reporting
8. Continuous improvement support •             Identify recurring issues and suggest improvements •             Support simplification and standardization initiatives •             Contribute to automation and efficiency improvements in master data processes •             Participate in small-scale improvement or transformation projects
9. Documentation •             Maintain up-to-date documentation of procedures and work instructions •             Ensure transparency of master data processes and guidelines •             Support creation and updates of user guides and training materials
10. Project and transition support •             Support master data activities in system implementations or migrations •             Assist in data upload, validation, and reconciliation during projects •             Support onboarding of new entities or business units We're looking for someone who

Education and Expertise: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field 2-5 years of experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, or Master Data Experience working with ERP systems (preferably SAP)   Technical & Functional Skills: Basic understanding of Finance processes (Record-to-Report, Procure-to-Pay, Order-to-Cash) Familiarity with Finance Master Data objects (e.g. Cost Centers, Profit Centers, Vendors, Customers) Good Excel skills (data validation, lookups, basic analysis) Experience with ticketing/workflow tools is an advantage   Personal & Professional Skills: Strong attention to detail and data accuracy Structured and process-oriented mindset Ability to follow defined procedures and governance rules Good problem-solving and analytical skills Effective communication with cross-functional stakeholders Ability to manage multiple requests and prioritize workload

Advantage: Experience in SAP S/4HANA or other ERP systems Exposure to data quality or data governance activities Experience in shared service center (GBS) environment What you'll get
