About the Opportunity

We are hiring on behalf of a client of Controvia AI, an AI-powered expense audit platform that helps Indian enterprises automate the review of employee claims and prevent fraud and policy violations before reimbursement. Our client is looking for a seasoned finance leader to head the finance function and drive financial strategy, governance and control, including the adoption of AI-led tools for expense and spend audit.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the finance function: accounting, FP&A, treasury, taxation, compliance and audit
• Own budgeting, forecasting, MIS and monthly/quarterly/annual closing
• Ensure compliance with Ind AS, Companies Act, GST, TDS and other statutory requirements
• Strengthen internal controls, policies and risk management, including expense and reimbursement governance
• Drive automation and digitisation of finance processes, with focus on fraud prevention, duplicate and policy-violation detection in T&E claims
• Manage cash flow, working capital, banking relationships and fund-raising as required
• Coordinate with statutory, internal and tax auditors; ensure timely, clean audits
• Provide financial insights and decision support to the leadership team and Board
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing finance team

Candidate Profile

• Qualification: CA (preferred); MBA (Finance) is an added advantage
• Experience: 15-18 years in finance, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role
• Strong knowledge of Indian accounting, taxation and regulatory compliance
• Proven experience with ERP systems and finance transformation or automation projects
• Experience with internal audit, controls and fraud-risk management
• Excellent analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills
• High integrity, with a hands-on and process-driven approach
