Job Description

Position: Accounts Receivable & Credit Control

1. Accounts Receivable Management

• Monitor outstanding receivables and ensure timely follow-up for collections.
• Prepare and review ageing reports, highlight overdue receivables, and define appropriate action plans.
• Track daily collections and ensure customer accounts are updated accurately.
• Follow up with customers for timely payment as per agreed credit terms.

2. Accounting & Record Maintenance

• Perform daily updation of customer collection and clearing entries.
• Maintain accurate customer KYC, credit documents, and related records.
• Ensure proper documentation and accounting of customer transactions.

3. Customer Reconciliation & Dispute Management

• Perform monthly customer account reconciliations and ensure timely closure of discrepancies.
• Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, debit notes, claims, and other customer-related issues.
• Coordinate with Sales and Logistics teams for daily billing plan confirmation based on customers advance payment/credit eligibility.
• Verify customer credit status and payment eligibility before confirming billing.
• Oversee customer entry and exit processes in accordance with company policies and credit/payment guidelines.

4. Credit Control

• Conduct credit assessments for new and existing customers in line with the company’s credit policy.
• Monitor customer credit limits, outstanding exposure, and payment behaviour.
• Recommend credit-limit adjustments based on customer payment history and risk assessment.
• Ensure billing is released only within approved credit limits and payment terms.

5. Reporting & Analysis

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly AR reports, collection reports, and ageing analyses.
• Provide insights on collection trends, customer payment behaviour, outstanding exposure, and overdue risks.
• Track and report collection performance against targets.
• Support internal audits, statutory audits, and other compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate and timely MIS related to receivables and credit control.
