Finance & Accounting Manager - BFSI

Job Summary:

We are looking for a detail-oriented Finance & Accounting professional to manage financial operations, accounting, taxation, statutory compliance, financial reporting, and budgeting. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial records, timely reporting, regulatory compliance, and effective financial controls to support business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliation, and journal entries.

- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, management reports, and financial summaries.

- Oversee GST, TDS, income tax, and other applicable statutory compliances and filings.

- Manage month-end and year-end closing activities, ensuring accuracy and timely completion.

- Monitor cash flow, working capital, receivables, payables, and fund utilization.

- Assist in budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and financial planning.

- Coordinate with internal and external auditors and support statutory and tax audits.

- Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards, financial policies, and regulatory requirements.

- Maintain accurate financial documentation, accounting schedules, and supporting records.

- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes, internal controls, and operational efficiency.

- Coordinate with banks, vendors, customers, consultants, and internal stakeholders on finance-related matters.

- Support management with financial analysis, cost control, and business decision-making.

Required Skills:

- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

- Hands-on experience with GST, TDS, income tax, and statutory compliance.

- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software such as Tally, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems.

- Experience in general ledger accounting, reconciliations, financial closing, and audit coordination.

- Understanding of budgeting, cash flow management, and financial analysis.

- Strong analytical, numerical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

- High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

- Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Desired Candidate Profile:

- Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.

- CA Inter, CMA Inter, MBA Finance, or equivalent qualification preferred.

- Relevant experience in finance and accounting operations within a corporate, consulting, or startup environment.

- Ability to work independently and maintain accuracy in a deadline-driven environment.
