We are looking for a skilled Finacle Application Support Engineer (L2 Support) to provide production support for Finacle Core Banking applications. The role involves managing incidents, supporting production environments, coordinating releases, participating in disaster recovery activities, and ensuring smooth banking operations. The candidate will work closely with business users, technology teams, vendors, and product support groups to maintain service availability and meet defined service levels.
Key Responsibilities Application Support Incident Management - Provide L2 support for Finacle Core Banking applications and related banking services.
- Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve complex production issues escalated from L1 support teams.
- Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) and implement preventive measures for recurring incidents.
- Coordinate with product support teams for defect resolution and enhancement requests.
- Ensure timely incident resolution and adherence to service level agreements (SLAs).
- Support day-to-day banking operations, including End of Day (EOD) and Beginning of Day (BOD) activities.
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end processing activities.
- Monitor application performance and proactively address operational issues.
- Support batch processing, interfaces, and reporting workflows.
- Manage deployment of patches and application releases across Test, UAT, Production, and Disaster Recovery environments.
- Perform impact assessments, validation activities, and release implementations.
- Ensure minimal disruption during production deployments and upgrades.
- Develop deployment and rollback strategies.
- Participate in disaster recovery drills, failover exercises, and business continuity testing.
- Monitor synchronization between primary and disaster recovery environments.
- Diagnose and resolve application-related issues during DR activities.
- Support Unix/Linux-based environments hosting Finacle applications.
- Perform system health checks, log reviews, backup verification, and basic database administration tasks.
- Coordinate infrastructure upgrades and post-upgrade validation activities.
- Monitor application, middleware, and database performance.
- Support configuration and setup of new banking products and services.
- Assist with application customizations, deployments, and implementation activities.
- Provide post-deployment support and stabilization.
- Act as a point of contact between business stakeholders, technology teams, vendors, and support partners.
- Facilitate incident resolution, change requests, and enhancement discussions.
- Prepare operational reports, incident records, and audit documentation.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance service quality and operational efficiency.
- Experience supporting Finacle Core Banking applications.
- Strong understanding of Core Banking Operations, EOD/BOD processes, and banking workflows.
- Knowledge of Incident, Problem, and Change Management processes.
- Hands-on experience with Unix/Linux commands and scripting.
- Basic knowledge of Oracle/SQL databases and database troubleshooting.
- Experience in patch deployment, release coordination, and disaster recovery activities.
- Familiarity with production monitoring tools and service management platforms.
- Strong analytical, troubleshooting, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Finacle certification is an advantage.
- Experience working within ITIL-based support environments.
- Exposure to banking domains such as CASA, Loans, Deposits, Payments, and Trade Finance.
- Understanding of middleware technologies and application server environments.
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
