This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Field Trainer Ops & Maintenance based in United States.
This is a highly visible field-based role focused on strengthening operational and maintenance capabilities across multiple markets. You will coach and develop Market Trainers while serving as a trusted technical and operational resource. The role combines hands-on field engagement, instructional coaching, curriculum improvement, and frontline performance support. You will help ensure training standards translate effectively into real-world operations, equipment performance, safety, and wash quality. Working closely with field leadership and instructional design teams, you will identify gaps and turn field insights into practical learning solutions. You will also support new site openings, onboarding, retraining, equipment launches, and targeted performance improvement initiatives. With approximately 60–80% travel, this opportunity is ideal for an experienced field professional who enjoys coaching others and driving consistent execution across a growing organization.
Accountabilities:: Coach, mentor, and develop Market Trainers through observation, skill reinforcement, joint training sessions, and structured feedback.
Improve instructional quality, technical accuracy, and consistency by reinforcing training standards and curriculum intent across markets.
Serve as a technical and operational subject-matter resource, influencing teams and trainers without direct supervisory authority.
Partner with instructional design and field leadership to evaluate and improve training curricula, job aids, SOP-based materials, certifications, and hands-on learning resources.
Validate training content against actual field conditions, equipment performance, operational practices, and maintenance requirements.
Identify curriculum gaps, usability issues, and opportunities for improvement, translating field feedback into practical training enhancements.
Deliver hands-on operations and maintenance training when needed, supporting onboarding, retraining, performance interventions, and periods of operational transition.
Provide targeted support during new site openings in collaboration with Market Trainers and field leadership.
Reinforce safety practices, wash quality standards, preventive maintenance behaviors, SOPs, operational standards, and established best practices.
Support the rollout of new equipment, technologies, chemicals, and process updates through training and field engagement.
Participate in pilot programs and help translate lessons learned from field execution into scalable training solutions.
Build strong relationships with Market Trainers, field leadership, Operations, and Maintenance teams while contributing to measurable improvements in training consistency and operational performance.
Travel extensively to conduct market visits, trainer ride-alongs, coaching sessions, and continuous people-development activities.
Requirements:
3–5+ years of experience in car wash operations, maintenance, training, field support, or a closely related environment.
Strong hands-on knowledge of tunnel operations, equipment, safety requirements, maintenance practices, and wash quality standards.
Demonstrated experience coaching, mentoring, training, or developing trainers, frontline employees, or operational leaders.
Strong ability to influence, coach, and drive adoption without direct reporting authority.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, observation, and feedback skills, with the ability to adapt training to different audiences and field conditions.
Practical problem-solving mindset with the ability to identify operational gaps and translate them into actionable training or process improvements.
Ability to work collaboratively with instructional design, operations, maintenance, and field leadership teams.
Comfortable working in a highly mobile, hands-on field environment and managing multiple priorities independently.
Willingness and ability to travel approximately 60–80% , including multi-day market visits and trainer ride-alongs.
Flexible availability for early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays when business needs require.
Benefits:
Base salary range of $80,000–$120,000 , depending on qualifications, experience, and other applicable factors.
