About this role
About the programme:
ExcelR Edtech is delivering a large-scale, on-ground training and adoption programme for a Rajasthan
based Power Distribution company, covering ~6,000 employees across all 12 distribution circles of
Rajasthan the majority of them linemen. Training is bilingual (Hindi / Marwari and English), hands-on,
and delivered in the field in three sequential blocks. We are hiring two field-facing roles below. Both are
fixed-term, Rajasthan-based, and involve travel within assigned circles.
1. Master Trainer (Lead Trainer / Training Coordinator)
Role Master Trainer classroom & field delivery lead
Positions 10 (8 active + 2 standby buffer)
Location Assigned JVVNL circle(s), Rajasthan; mobile across locations within the circle
Reports to Project Manager / PMU (Jaipur)
Engagement Fixed-term contract(6-8 Months).
Role purpose
Own the delivery of role-based App training on the ground turning attendance into genuine, verified
platform adoption. Master Trainers are the certified, credible face of the programme in the circle: they
run the sessions, drive the 90% adoption outcome, spot and enable local Champions, and mentor theField Support Trainers.
Key responsibilities
- Get certified first. Attend and clear the platform providers Train-the-Trainer (ToT) and achieve
full platform mastery before delivery begins.
- Deliver the training. Run bilingual, role-specific sessions for the six roles (Lineman, Feeder In-
charge, JEN, AEN, XEN, SE) — informal, chaupal-style, hands-on, with batches of 12–15 at ~3–4
sessions/week.
- Teach on real data. Have trainees practise on their own feeder data and devices, indexing real
DTs and consumers rather than sitting through slides.
- Drive the outcome. Administer assessments (80% score + verified platform entries) and
feedback; work toward the 90% “successfully trained” target, not just attendance.
- Build the peer layer. Identify, crown and coach local Champions (Kshetra Pratinidhi); enable peer
co-delivery and run the gamified engagement (leaderboards, WhatsApp groups).
- Leave no one behind. Run private, hands-on remediation and oral/practical re-assessment for
those who struggle.
- Mentor & report. Guide the Field Support Trainers in the circle; maintain delivery quality; report
progress and issues to the PMU.
ExcelR Edtech — JVVNL Digital Twin • Job Descriptions Recruitment
Required qualifications & experience
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
- Experience: 5+ years, ideally in training delivery and/or power-distribution / DISCOM operations.
Essential skills
- Bilingual delivery — fluent Hindi / Marwari and working English; a confident, engaging facilitator
with adult-learning instincts.
- Field credibility — able to command respect from linemen and officers alike; comfortable on-site,
not just in a classroom.
- Digitally fluent — comfortable with smartphone apps and demoing software live.
- Mobile — willing to travel and stay within the assigned circle for the block duration.
Preferred
- Prior JVVNL / Rajasthan DISCOM exposure; experience with GIS / asset-indexing or utility
software; a track record of training frontline field staff.
2. Field Support Trainer (FST)
Role Field Support Trainer — in-circle adoption support
Positions 8 (6 active + 2 standby buffer)
Location One assigned JVVNL circle, Rajasthan; on-ground across substations
Reports to Master Trainer / Circle SPOC, with the Jaipur PMU
Engagement Fixed-term; minimum 3 months in-circle per deployment (hypercare)
Role purpose
Be the on-ground hand-holder after training — the person who makes sure new skills actually stick in
the field. FSTs live in the circle for the critical early-adoption months, solving real problems as they
arise, supporting the Champion peer network, and keeping usage moving toward the verified-adoption
target.
Key responsibilities
- Hypercare on the ground. Provide in-circle, hands-on support for a minimum of three months
after each circle’s training, during the fragile early-adoption window.
- First-line field support. Troubleshoot app and workflow issues on site; resolve what you can, and
escalate the rest cleanly to the Jaipur helpdesk / PMU.
- Turn training into usage. Sit with newly-trained employees as they do real indexing tasks;
unblock hesitant or low-confidence users so adoption actually happens.
- Back the Champions. Support and coach the local Champions so the peer-support layer holds
once you rotate out.
- Capture the field signal. Log recurring issues and product feedback; feed the MIS and the
WhatsApp community; help keep the engagement alive.
- Support readiness. Assist with venue and circle readiness ahead of sessions where required.
Required qualifications & experience
- Education: B.Tech / B.E. in Electrical or Electronics Engineering.
Experience: 3+ years in a technical or field role, ideally in power distribution / DISCOM
operations.
Essential skills
- Bilingual — fluent Hindi / Marwari and working English.
- Patient & people-first — calm, approachable, and good at coaching hesitant or first-time
smartphone users one-to-one.
- Practical troubleshooter — quick to diagnose an app or process problem in the field and find a
workaround.
- Mobile within the circle — able to travel across substations (two-wheeler / own transport an
advantage).
Preferred
- Local familiarity with the assigned circle/district; prior field-support, helpdesk or frontline-training experience; comfort with utility asset data.
