Field Support Engineer

Role & responsibilities

You will be the first point of contact when a customers system is not behaving as expected. Your job is to work out what is actually wrong, fix it if you can, and escalate it with clear details if you cannot. Problems range from configuration errors and software bugs to sensor calibration, plumbing and hydraulic issues on the customers side, and plain user error.

Key Responsibilities

Handle incoming support calls and messages from customers and dealers

Triage each issue: configuration, software bug, sensor or calibration, hydraulic or plumbing, or user error

Guide customers through fixes over phone and video, and visit sites when needed

Calibrate and replace pH, EC and other sensors, and check pumps, valves, injectors and wiring

Diagnose basic electrical faults (power supply, wiring, relays, connections)

Identify hydraulic problems such as clogged filters, leaks, pressure or flow issues and venturi/injector faults

Log every issue, cause and fix in our support tracker

Escalate software and hardware bugs to the engineering team with clear details and photos or logs

Train customers on correct usage to reduce repeat calls

Preferred candidate profile

Requirements

Fluent in English, Hindi and Kannada (spoken and basic written)

Basic to intermediate knowledge of electrical work (wiring, multimeter use, relays, power supplies)

Basic to intermediate knowledge of plumbing and irrigation (pipes, fittings, valves, pumps, filters)

Good communication skills and the patience to guide non-technical users calmly

Logical, step by step approach to finding the root cause

Willingness to travel frequently, including multi-day site visits

Willingness to learn new systems, sensors and software

Own two-wheeler and valid driving licence preferred

Expected to work with us for a period of 2 years or more as this is a long term opportunity.
