Field Service Engineer

Key Responsibilities :

1. Visit and provide support to address all breakdowns and machine requirements at the site.

2. Conduct daily site visits, calls, and video call support.

3. Cross-check all site materials.

4. Evaluate repairable and non-repairable items and send them back to Pune HO with appropriate documentation.

5. Ensure completion of allocated daily work without fail.

6. Coordinate with local suppliers for spares and repair work, involving the Team Leader and Reporting Manager.

7. Submit daily reports to the Reporting Manager.

8. Identify and analyze repetitive machine failures, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA). Submit both reports to the Reporting Manager every week.

9. Maximize machine maintenance and support for RC, AMC, and PMC, and minimize breakdowns.

10. Improve the Service Team's performance in problem-solving and reducing breakdown periods.

11. Coordinate with the contractual team to ensure 100% service task completion smoothly, accurately, and on time.

12. Collaborate with the Service Team (Service Team Leader, Other Service Team Members, and Other Departments Team Members) in line with HYT Service Policy.

13. Collect and maintain a history of machine long-lead breakdowns.

14. Monitor and control service activities according to the Service Policy.

15. Submit a weekly machine report to the Reporting Manager.

16. Inform the consignee (SSE & concerned Railway Officer) before and after performing site work.

17. Take joint notes from the consignee as per company policies.

18. Maintain polite behavior when interacting with the consignee.

19. Use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at the site.

20. The above responsibilities can be modified or changed according to the situation at the site.

Required Candidate Profile:

The candidate should be B.E/B.Tech in Mechanical / Electrical with 4-6 years of experience or a diploma in Mechanical Engineering with 5-7 years of experience in machine maintenance activities.
