Field Operations Manager

Job Purpose

The Field Operations & Deployment Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing field deployments, logistics, manpower, vendors, and day-to-day operational requirements. The role will ensure timely and efficient execution of deployments in line with project scope, client expectations, operational SOPs, and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

1. Field Operations & Deployment

• Plan and manage field deployments, logistics, manpower, and operational requirements.
• Ensure timely and efficient execution of deployments in accordance with project scope and client expectations.
• Monitor live field operations and proactively identify and resolve on-ground issues.
• Ensure operational readiness across locations and deployment phases.

2. Financial & Vendor Management

• Validate operational expenses, vendor invoices, travel, accommodation, and other deployment-related costs.
• Track operational budgets and ensure accurate documentation, reconciliation, and reporting.
• Manage vendors, freelancers, and service partners while ensuring adherence to agreed SLAs, compliance requirements, and service standards.
• Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to resolve vendor and payment-related issues.

3. SOPs & Compliance

• Ensure strict adherence to operational SOPs, safety standards, and company policies.
• Maintain complete and audit-ready operational documentation and records.
• Support internal and external compliance requirements related to field operations.
• Identify operational gaps and recommend practical process improvements.

4. Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage Field Coordinators, Supervisors, and support staff.
• Allocate responsibilities and resources based on deployment requirements.
• Monitor team performance, productivity, and operational readiness.
• Provide guidance, training, and escalation support during field deployments.
• Foster effective coordination and accountability within the field team.

5. Reporting & Continuous Improvement

• Maintain accurate deployment reports, operational trackers, vendor records, and expense documentation.
• Provide regular operational updates to management and key stakeholders.
• Analyze field feedback and operational data to identify recurring issues and improvement opportunities.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, deployment quality, and service delivery.

Job Requirements

• 6 - 8 years of experience in field operations, logistics, deployment management, or operations management.
• Proven experience managing field deployments, vendors, service partners, and field teams.
• Strong exposure to budgeting, expense validation, vendor management, and operational reporting.
• Experience with operational, project management, and reporting tools.
• Strong organizational, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple deployments and operational priorities simultaneously.
• Graduate in any discipline; an operations, logistics, or management background is preferred.

Preferred Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should have strong hands-on experience in field operations and deployment management, with proven capabilities in managing distributed teams, vendors, logistics, operational budgets, and compliance. The candidate should be comfortable working in dynamic field environments and resolving operational challenges while maintaining service quality and timelines.
