Field Engineer Plant & Machinery

ABOUT THE ROLE

Delta Valuers & Appraisers LLP is hiring Field Engineers to support the Plant & Machinery and Movable Assets valuation team. The Field Engineer conducts physical inspections of industrial plant, manufacturing equipment, and movable assets, gathering the technical data required for valuation report preparation. This is an excellent entry point for engineering graduates interested in industrial asset valuation and financial advisory.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Conduct physical inspections of manufacturing plants, industrial equipment, and movable assets
• Record asset details make, model, year of manufacture, condition, capacity, and specifications
• Capture systematic photographs and prepare detailed inspection notes for each asset
• Verify asset details against purchase invoices, annual reports, and depreciation schedules
• Gather market data on replacement costs, used equipment prices, and OEM quotations
• Prepare inspection reports and asset schedules for review by the Technical Manager
• Maintain site inspection logs and comply with all safety protocols during plant visits
• Coordinate with factory management and bank officials during joint inspection visits
• Adhere to TAT and submission schedules as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

• Graduate in Mechanical / Electrical / Production / Chemical Engineering (B.E. / B.Tech) or Diploma equivalent
• 0–4 years of experience; freshers from engineering institutes welcome
• Basic understanding of industrial machinery, manufacturing processes, and equipment specifications
• Attention to detail and ability to document technical data accurately
• Proficiency in MS Office; ability to prepare structured asset schedules
• Willingness to travel to industrial sites and manufacturing facilities across the region
• Good written and verbal communication skills

Preferred:

• Prior exposure to industrial valuation, plant inspection, or manufacturing environment
• Knowledge of depreciation norms and equipment life cycles for common asset classes
• Familiarity with bank documentation requirements for P&M mandates
