Field Associate _ Site Acquisition & Rollout

Role & responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Field Associate is responsible for identifying, surveying, and acquiring new telecom tower sites (both Greenfield and Rooftop) to expand network coverage across the Goa region/Maharashtra region. The role involves landlord negotiations, legal documentation, and coordinating with local authorities to ensure a seamless infrastructure rollout.

Key Responsibilities

1. Site Identification & Survey

• Conduct field visits to locate potential sites based on technical search rings provided by the network planning team.
• Assess the structural viability of rooftops and the layout feasibility of ground sites.
• Identify multiple options per search ring to ensure backup choices during negotiations.

2. Landlord Negotiation & Acquisition

• Initiate contact with property/land owners and pitch commercial proposals for tower installation.
• Negotiate lease terms, rental amounts, and agreement escalation clauses within company budget limits.
• Collect ownership documents (Property tax receipts, Sale deeds, Form I & XIV) for legal vetting.

3. Liaison & Statutory Approvals

• Coordinate with local governing bodies (Goa Municipalities, Village Panchayats, and TCP Department) for necessary permissions.
• Liaise with the state electricity board (GED) for power connection feasibility and processing.
• Resolve local community issues or landlord grievances effectively during the deployment phase.

4. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare complete site folders with legal documents, structural stability reports, and landlord KYC.
• Update the project tracker daily with the status of acquisitions, agreements, and site handovers.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education: Graduate in any discipline (B.A., B.Com, B.Sc, BBA) or Diploma in Civil/Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: 1 to 4 years of experience in field sales, telecom site acquisition, real estate sourcing, or broadband/DTH rollout.
• Language Skills: Proficiency in Konkani and English is highly preferred to communicate effectively with local landowners and authorities.
• Mandatory Requirement: Must possess a valid Two-Wheeler Driving License and a personal smartphone.
