Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Ferro Lab Incharge to manage laboratory operations in our Ferro Alloys / Steel Manufacturing Plant.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day activities of the Ferro Alloys Laboratory.

Conduct chemical analysis and testing of raw materials, in-process materials and finished products.

Ensure accurate sampling, testing and reporting as per plant quality requirements.

Handle laboratory instruments and testing equipment, including XRF and other relevant instruments.

Monitor and maintain laboratory records, test reports and documentation.

Ensure proper calibration and maintenance of laboratory equipment.

Coordinate with Production and Quality teams to maintain product quality.

Analyze test results and communicate deviations to the concerned departments.

Maintain laboratory safety, housekeeping and standard operating procedures.

Lead and supervise laboratory staff/team.

Ensure timely reporting of test results to management.

Required Skills

Strong knowledge of Ferro Alloys chemical analysis and laboratory testing.

Knowledge of XRF / instrumental analysis.

Knowledge of raw material and finished product testing.

Quality control and laboratory documentation.

Good analytical and problem-solving skills.

Team handling and coordination skills.

Experience in Ferro Alloys / Steel Plant / Metallurgical industry preferred.

Qualification

B.Sc./M.Sc. Chemistry, Metallurgy or relevant qualification.

Preferred candidate: Candidates with 57 years of relevant experience in Ferro Alloys / Steel Manufacturing Laboratory.Role & responsibilities
