FC - SALES CLUSTER (WEST)

Purpose/Objective

To act as the Finance Controller for the West Sales Cluster, ensuring financial governance, commercial finance support, budgeting, profitability analysis, revenue assurance, working capital management, and business partnering with the Sales leadership team to drive profitable growth.

Key Responsibilities of Role

Financial Planning & Analysis - Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and rolling plans for the Sales Cluster.
- Analyze sales performance, profitability, margins, and market-wise financial outcomes.
- Monitor budget utilization and ensure adherence to financial targets.
- Provide MIS reports and actionable insights to management.
Business Finance Partnering - Partner with Sales, Marketing, Logistics, and Commercial teams to support business decisions.
- Evaluate pricing strategies, trade schemes, discounts, and promotional programs.
- Drive profitability improvement initiatives across regions and channels.
- Support business cases for new projects, markets, and investments.
Revenue Assurance & Controls - Ensure compliance with financial policies, processes, and statutory requirements.
- Monitor sales transactions, credit controls, rebates, and incentive payouts.
- Strengthen internal controls and risk management practices.
- Ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.
Working Capital Management - Monitor receivables and collection performance.
- Drive reduction in overdue outstanding and improve cash flows.
- Coordinate with sales teams for customer credit management and dispute resolution.
Commercial & Strategic Support - Support strategic decision-making through financial modelling and scenario analysis.
- Assess customer profitability and market economics.
- Provide insights on business risks and opportunities.
Audit & Compliance - Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Drive closure of audit observations within agreed timelines.
Team Management - Lead and mentor finance professionals within the cluster.
- Drive capability development and performance management.
- Foster a culture of accountability, compliance, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience

Educational Qualification - Chartered Accountant (CA) preferred.
- MBA (Finance) / CMA / ICWA may also be considered.
Experience - 15-20 years of experience in Finance, Commercial Finance, Business Finance, or Financial Controlling.
- Experience in Cement, Manufacturing, FMCG, Building Materials, Industrial Products, or similar industries preferred.
- Strong exposure to Sales Finance and Business Partnering roles.
