Job Description
We are looking for a creative and commercially driven Menswear Fashion Designer to join our fashion brand team in Ahmedabad.
The designer will be responsible for developing new men's apparel collections, from trend research and concept development through design, sampling and final product execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new designs and collections for men's apparel.
- Design and develop men's tops and bottoms, including T-shirts, polo T-shirts, shirts, overshirts, jeans, chinos, trousers, cargos, joggers and related categories.
- Conduct fashion, market and competitor research to identify emerging trends in silhouettes, colours, fabrics, prints and detailing.
- Create mood boards, design concepts, colour palettes and collection themes.
- Prepare detailed design/technical sheets with measurements, construction details, trims and artwork wherever required.
- Coordinate with merchandising, sourcing, production and sampling teams for product development.
- Work with vendors and sampling units to develop prototypes and samples.
- Review samples, fittings and corrections and ensure the final product matches the design intent.
- Ensure designs are commercially viable while maintaining the brand's design identity.
- Stay updated with Indian and international men's fashion trends.
- Develop new styles and product ideas based on market requirements and customer preferences.
Candidate Profile
- 35 years of relevant experience in Menswear Fashion Design.
- Strong hands-on experience in designing men's tops and bottoms.
- Good understanding of men's fits, silhouettes, fabrics, washes, prints, trims and garment construction.
- Strong knowledge of current menswear fashion trends.
- Experience working with garment manufacturers, sampling units and vendors will be preferred.
- Understanding of the complete design-to-sample process.
- Proficiency in CorelDRAW / Adobe Illustrator / Photoshop or equivalent design software.
- Strong creative and commercial understanding.
Mandatory Requirement
