Failure Mode / Product Performance Engineer

Job Description

Role & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain historical failure databases for product reliability analysis.
• Perform Failure Mode Analysis, Product Performance Analysis, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA).
• Support AI-driven analytics and predictive failure detection initiatives.
• Facilitate 8D investigations and prepare detailed technical failure reports.
• Analyze warranty, field failure, and product performance data from multiple sources.
• Create dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and Excel.
• Support cross-functional teams in reliability improvement and corrective action initiatives.
• Conduct Ishikawa (Fishbone) analysis and ensure proper documentation of engineering findings.
• Support engine, powertrain, and vehicle system-related failure investigations.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Automobile, Automotive, or related Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in automotive product performance, reliability, or failure analysis.
• Strong knowledge of Engine, Powertrain, and OEM Product Development processes.
• Hands-on experience with FMEA, RCA, 8D, Warranty Analysis, and Reliability Engineering.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Advanced Excel, and Data Analytics tools.
• Exposure to AI/ML concepts and predictive analytics is preferred.
