Position Title: Factory Manager
Department: Manufacturing
Location: Pune, Hinjewadi, Phase II
Industry Preference: Organic chemicals / Agrochemicals / Pesticides / Specialty Chemicals
Qualifications: Degree/Diploma in Chemical / Production / Industrial Engineering.
Experience: 5 to 10 years of experience in factory/manufacturing operations. Strong leadership and operational planning skills.


1. Role Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and result-oriented Factory Manager to oversee end-to-end factory operations including production planning, workforce management, timely dispatch, statutory compliance, and machine maintenance. The role focuses on improving operational efficiency, productivity, and on-time delivery performance.

2. Key Responsibilities:
1. Production & Sales Order Planning
- Plan and schedule production based on confirmed sales orders.
- Ensure optimal utilization of manpower, machines, and materials.
- Monitor daily production targets and ensure achievement.

2. Workforce Planning & Supervision
- Prepare the SOPs for the production workflow and monitor the adherence to the SOPs
- Allocate work to supervisors and workers effectively.
- Prepare shift schedules and manage attendance discipline.
- Train workers on SOPs, safety, and quality standards.

3. Dispatch & Delivery Management
- Ensure finished goods are ready as per dispatch schedule.
- Coordinate with logistics for timely delivery.
- Maintain dispatch documentation and records.

4. Operational Efficiency Improvement
- Identify bottlenecks and implement process improvements.
- Improve productivity and reduce wastage.
- Track KPIs such as production efficiency, rejection rate, downtime, and on-time dispatch.

5. Statutory & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with Factory Act, labor laws, safety standards, and pollution control norms.
- Maintain statutory records and coordinate during inspections.

6. Machine Maintenance
- Plan preventive and breakdown maintenance with supervisors.
- Ensure minimum machine downtime and maintain logs.

7.Facility Management
Oversee the overall maintenance, cleanliness, and upkeep of the factory premises, office areas, warehouses, and common facilities.

Ensure proper functioning and preventive maintenance of systems

Ensure availability and proper maintenance of fire extinguishers, emergency exits, first-aid facilities, safety signage, and emergency contact information.

Coordinate with HR/Admin, Production, EHS, and other departments to ensure efficient factory administration and uninterrupted operations.
