Plant Head / Factory Manager- Structural Steel

Reports to: VP- Operations

Direct reports: Production, Engineering, PPC, Quality, SCM, Maintenance, EHS and HR/Admin Managers

Purpose: Own total plant performance for safety, quality, cost, delivery and productivity.

Key responsibilities

• Manage daily plant operations and manpower.
• Approve production priorities and resource allocation.
• Conduct daily and monthly performance reviews.
• Resolve cross-functional bottlenecks.
• Control operating expenses and plant discipline.
• Ensure readiness for audits and customer inspections.
• Escalate project, safety and quality risks to senior management.

• Production tonnage and productivity
• Schedule adherence
• On-time dispatch
• Rejection and rework
• Labour productivity
• Plant operating cost
• Lost-time incidents

Qualification/experience: Mechanical/Civil/Production Engineering; 12–18 years in structural steel or project manufacturing.
