Facility ~ Mechanical Construction

Job Description:

Kia India is seeking a highly motivated and skilled professional for the position of Facility Engineer in Mechanical Construction. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the construction and maintenance of mechanical systems within our facility. This role involves planning, coordinating, and executing construction projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Designation:

Assistant Manager / Deputy Manager (Depending on interview performance, total expereince, current company expereince, etc)

Key Responsibilities:
- Manage mechanical construction projects from inception to completion, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure project alignment and resolve any issues that arise during construction.
- Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress, compliance with safety regulations, and quality standards.
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, schedules, and cost estimates.
- Work closely with the procurement team to source materials and equipment required for construction.
- Assist in developing and implementing maintenance programs to ensure the longevity of mechanical systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to construction teams and subcontractors.

Skills and Tools Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in mechanical construction and facility management.
- Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and safety regulations.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with CAD software and design tools is an advantage.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
