Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced GCP Data Engineer with strong expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), BigQuery, SQL, and either Dataproc or dbt (Data Build Tool). The ideal candidate will design, develop, optimize, and maintain scalable data pipelines and data warehouse solutions to support business analytics and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows using BigQuery and Dataproc/dbt.
• Develop complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and performance tuning strategies.
• Implement data transformation and modeling using dbt.
• Process large-scale datasets using Dataproc, PySpark, and Spark SQL.
• Integrate data from multiple sources such as APIs, databases, and cloud storage.
• Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance standards.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize pipeline performance.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, and cross-functional teams.
• Support CI/CD implementation and deployment of data engineering solutions.

Required Skills

Core Skills

• Strong experience in Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on experience with BigQuery.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and query optimization.
• Experience with Dataproc and Spark/PySpark OR strong experience in dbt.
• Experience building ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Cloud Storage (GCS).
