Facade Site Engineer

We are looking for a motivated and technically sound Faade Site Engineer to supervise faade installation and site execution activities. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that faade works are executed safely, accurately, and in accordance with approved shop drawings, technical specifications, and quality standards.

The role will be based in Mumbai and may require regular travel to project sites across Pune and South India.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day faade installation activities at project sites.
• Oversee the installation and fixing of brackets, anchors, glass panels, aluminium/cladding systems, and other faade components.
• Ensure faade installation is carried out as per approved shop drawings, method statements, and technical specifications.
• Inspect faade works for alignment, level, plumb, dimensions, fixing accuracy, and workmanship.
• Monitor the correct application of weatherproofing, structural, and silicone sealants as specified.
• Verify site measurements and coordinate with the technical/drawing team wherever discrepancies are identified.
• Identify installation issues, technical snags, and quality deviations and ensure timely corrective action.
• Coordinate with main contractors, architects, consultants, subcontractors, and other site teams.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress updates, inspection records, and relevant documentation.
• Monitor material availability and coordinate with stores, vendors, and subcontractors to avoid installation delays.
• Ensure proper handling, storage, and installation of glass, aluminium, cladding, and faade materials.
• Ensure all workers and subcontractors comply with site safety procedures, particularly for work at height, lifting, scaffolding, and access systems.
• Support project engineers and management in achieving project timelines, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• B.E./B.Tech. in Civil Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• 1-2 years of hands-on experience in faade, building envelope, glazing, aluminium, cladding, or related construction activities.
• Good understanding of faade installation methods and site execution practices.
• Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, structural drawings, architectural drawings, and faade fixing details.
• AutoCAD knowledge is mandatory.
• Working knowledge of MS Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Good understanding of site measurements, levels, alignment, and basic construction terminology.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to coordinate and manage contractors/subcontractors effectively.
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively to project sites across Pune and South India.

Preferred Skills

• Experience with unitized/stick curtain wall, structural glazing, aluminium composite panels, aluminium windows, louvers, or stone/cladding systems will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of faade testing, waterproofing, sealant application, and quality inspection procedures is preferred.
• Candidates who are comfortable working at active construction sites and travelling between project locations will be preferred.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate should be hands-on, technically oriented, disciplined, and willing to work at project sites. The candidate must be comfortable coordinating with multiple stakeholders and travelling as required for project execution.
