Facade Engineering Specialist

Role & responsibilities

Designs public-facing glass systems to handle blast-performance requirements. They also implement specialized glazing on air traffic control (ATC) towers to limit visual distortion and incorporate bird-strike-resistant glazing.

Selects high-performance insulated glass units (IGUs) and builds airtight joints to block out extreme, continuous noise from aircraft engines, runways, and tarmac operations.

Integrates passive shading, double-skin facades, and smart Building Management Systems (BMS) to stop massive glass terminals from overheating, minimizing HVAC loads.
