About the Business Unit

Global Delivery Services Centre (GDSC) is a high-impact business unit within Mott MacDonald, dedicated to enhancing project delivery across our global operations. As part of GDSC, you will join a team that champions excellence in technical and digital disciplines and supports projects throughout the lifecycle, from concept to completion.

As part of GDSC in India, you will work alongside Mott MacDonald colleagues internationally, delivering projects across commercial, residential, retail, offices, education, healthcare, airports, data centres, hotels, sports and events venues, and metros and stations.

Job Description

The Fa ade Engineer will support the design and delivery of building envelope systems across project stages, with a strong focus on technical quality, multidisciplinary coordination, project requirements and applicable standards.

Specific Responsibilities

• Undertake fa ade engineering calculations, including structural performance, wind load assessments, thermal movement and deflection analysis.
• Support compliance with relevant Australian and/or UAE and KSA standards and project requirements.
• Develop fa ade weatherproofing and detailing solutions that support durability and protection against water, air and moisture ingress while maintaining architectural intent and constructability.
• Prepare technical specifications and design documentation, including performance requirements, material selection, testing criteria, procurement documentation and construction details.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and contribute to design coordination meetings with architects and structural engineers.
• Support design development from concept and proof-of-concept studies through detailed design, tender documentation, contractor review, testing and construction-phase services.
• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings and technical reports with guidance to support compliance with project requirements and industry standards.
• Assist in integrating structural integrity, weather tightness, thermal performance, fire compliance, acoustics, durability, maintenance and sustainability considerations.
• Use relevant software tools, including CAD, Strand7 and THERM, as required for project delivery.
