FACA - Engineer

About Role:

We are looking for a highly analytical and detail-oriented FACA Engineerto join our Engineering team. The role focuses on Failure Analysis, Root Cause Investigation, Process Improvement, and Data Analytics to drive manufacturing excellence.

Responsibilities:

Failure Analysis & Root Cause Investigation

• Lead failure analysis activities for dimensional, cosmetic, and reliability-related issues.
• Define problem statements, collect and analyze data, and determine root causes using structured problem-solving methodologies.
• Conduct detailed investigations and prepare technical reports with actionable recommendations.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and track their effectiveness to closure.
• Facilitate FACA review meetings with cross-functional stakeholders.

Data Analytics & Quality Engineering

• Analyze manufacturing and quality data to identify trends, variations, and improvement opportunities.
• Utilize statistical tools such as Minitab and JMP for data-driven decision-making.
• Apply SPC, SQC, and other quality methodologies to monitor and improve process performance.
• Develop dashboards, reports, and deep-dive analyses to support operational excellence.

Design of Experiments

• Design, plan, and execute DOE activities to validate process improvements and root cause hypotheses.
• Analyze experimental results and recommend optimized process parameters.
• Ensure successful implementation and standardization of validated process changes.

Process Qualification & Sustenance

• Support process qualification activities and machine bring-up initiatives.
• Review inspection reports and collaborate with engineering teams to resolve dimensional and process-related concerns.
• Recommend machine and process corrections to achieve product quality requirements.
• Ensure sustaining process health through continuous monitoring and improvement.

Process Capability & Continuous Improvement

• Conduct Process Capability Studies (Cp, Cpk) and capability trend analysis.
• Identify process drifts and initiate corrective actions to maintain process stability.
• Drive yield improvement, defect reduction, and manufacturing excellence initiatives.
• Support Lean, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement programs.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, Planning, PPC, and Operations teams.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure timely closure of failure analysis actions.
• Present technical findings, recommendations, and improvement plans to leadership and cross-functional teams.
• Support business-critical projects by providing analytical and technical expertise.

Qualification

• B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering

Experience:

• 2-6 years of relevant experience (Bachelor's Degree)
• 4-8 years of relevant experience (Diploma)
