Role Overview GDS SaT Transaction Strategy and Execution Deal Tech Cybersecurity Associate Manager, India
The Opportunity EY-Parthenons GDS Transaction Strategy and Execution (TSE) Technology team helps clients with IT-related aspects of M&A transactions:
- Deal tech: The TSE Technology team assesses the technology ecosystem and its role in M&A transactions.
- Cybersecurity: Managing sign-to-close, and post-integration activities from an Information Security perspective
EY-Parthenons GDS TSE Technology professionals help clients navigate transaction risk and increase value from the beginning of a deal to its execution.
This role requires prior expertise in managing complex IT integrations, separations, and transitions during mergers, acquisitions with extensive knowledge of information security, identity and access management, detection and response, and cyber risk and compliance.
Key Responsibilities M&A Cybersecurity Integration & Separation: - Identify cybersecurity risks and integration/separation challenges across buy-side and sell-side transactions.
- Design and execute cybersecurity integration and separation plans aligned with business goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless cyber integration during the sign-to-close phase.
- Identify risks and issues related to cyber during the deal process and develop mitigation strategies.
- Provide expertise in cyber cost optimization and consolidation post-deal closure.
- Develop comprehensive cybersecurity strategies post-transaction to align with business and regulatory requirements.
- Advise clients on target operating models for cybersecurity functions.
- Conduct cyber risk assessments leveraging frameworks like NIST CSF, ISO 27001, and regulatory requirements (GDPR, CCPA, etc.).
- Provide recommendations for achieving and maintaining regulatory compliance.
- Assess and design IAM strategies and solutions during M&A activities.
- Ensure identity security is maintained throughout integration or divestiture processes.
- Conduct cyber maturity assessments pre- and post-M&A to evaluate the cybersecurity posture of organizations.
- Create remediation roadmaps to enhance cybersecurity maturity.
- Develop strategies to protect sensitive information assets across the data lifecycle.
- Address data governance, classification, privacy, and protection considerations.
- Design and advise on detection and incident response capabilities.
- Ensure continuity of threat monitoring and response processes during organizational transitions.
- Manage large to mid-sized engagements or workstreams of large engagements that help clients solve some of their most pressing issues during transaction lifecycle.
- Support key decision makers in developing and executing their transaction strategy to secure deal value.
- Manage the execution of integration and separation projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Document lessons learned and best practices to improve future IT deal processes
