Position: Eye OT Assistant

Experience Required

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience; Experience in an eye hospital or ophthalmic operation theatre preferred.

Qualification

• Diploma / Certificate in OT Technology or relevant paramedical qualification preferred.
• Practical experience in ophthalmic OT procedures is essential.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists during eye surgeries and OT procedures.
• Prepare the operation theatre before scheduled surgeries.
• Arrange and check ophthalmic surgical instruments and equipment.
• Ensure proper cleaning, disinfection and sterilization of instruments.
• Maintain OT hygiene and follow infection control protocols.
• Assist with patient preparation and positioning before surgery.
• Monitor the availability of surgical consumables and OT supplies.
• Maintain OT registers, sterilization records and procedure documentation.
• Coordinate with surgeons, nurses and other OT staff for smooth operations.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in an ophthalmic OT.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic surgical instruments and sterilization procedures.
• Familiarity with cataract surgery and other eye procedures preferred.
• Good coordination, discipline and attention to detail.
• Professional and patient-focused approach.
