About this role
We are seeking someone to join our Finance Shared Services - External Reporting team as an Associate in Finance Division. In the Finance division, we partner with business units around the globe by providing management, review, analysis, and advisory services related to the Firm's financial and capital resources. This is an Associate role in the Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting Job Family.
This is an Associate position within our Corporate Controllers, Reporting & Accounting Job Family which is responsible for the accuracy and control of the Firm’s books and records to produce the consolidated firm, segment and legal entities financial statements, including development, management and oversight of financial accounting & reporting systems as well as database management, including capital and liquidity reporting and external reporting functions.

What you'll do in the role Collaborate with a diverse group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm. Take ownership of both individual and team deliverables and projects, leveraging knowledge of the Finance functional area, tools, and products. Adhere to the Firm's risk and regulatory standards, policies, and controls. Act as a culture carrier by embodying the Firm's values and holding yourself accountable to Firm standards. Prepare, review, and submit external reports on a monthly and quarterly basis. Conduct in-depth variance analysis, incorporating an understanding of accounting issues, economic events, and their impact. Help drive process efficiencies and continuous improvement efforts to strengthen controls. Execute report pre-submission checks, implement control procedures, and review regulatory reporting requirements. Maintain a consolidated list of adjustment details by report and participate in data quality improvement projects to strengthen controls, improve report accuracy, and reduce manual adjustments. Support special projects and ad hoc requests as needed. Execute key reporting controls, including cross-filing reconciliations and variance analysis. Prepare and store control evidence for centralized report population. Prepare due diligence review decks and participate in reviews with key stakeholders. Review and update relevant policies and procedures. Participate in regulatory exams and internal audits and respond to related inquiries as required. Monitor developments in regulatory rules and reporting changes and support the implementation of updated reporting requirements. Contribute to ad hoc projects that support reporting automation initiatives and regulatory reporting changes. What you'll bring to the role Working knowledge of the Finance functional area, industry, and competitive environment. Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and adapt to various audiences. Willingness to seek guidance and provide feedback to support personal and team development. Demonstrated experience in regulatory reporting production, review, and submission. Strong regulatory reporting knowledge. Strong communication skills, with clear, concise, and appropriate delivery. Experience using regulatory and financial reporting systems. Strong team-player mindset, with the ability to manage deliverables under tight deadlines. Ability to meet critical deadlines while tracking and driving execution. Flexibility to adjust priorities as new situations arise. Risk awareness and sound control mindset. Collaborative approach and strong work ethic in a cross-functional team environment. Chartered Accountant qualification or equivalent specialization in the Finance stream. Regulatory and compliance knowledge, along with a financial background and risk management experience, is a plus. Big 4 accounting experience is preferred. Typically, at least 4 years of relevant experience is expected for this role.
