Expert- Cost Management & Risk Management

Position description: 

The position is responsible to carry out the Zero base costing to the Buyers in order to achieve the right prices for the organization. If needed sit with them and negotiate the prices with the supplier as tandem. Additionally responsible for safe guarding the organization from potential risk of line stoppage due to financially unhealthy suppliers. 

Primary Responsibilities: 

1. Carryout bottom up (Zero base) costing for the parts as well as tooling

2. Analyze cost differences (supplier vs cost management) in order to achieve better and faster results.

3. Interact with buyers for cost analysis and supplier's quotation. If needed, negotiate with the supplier together with the buyer as tandem.

4. Keep himself/ herself up to date for various machineries and technologies / parts manufacturing processes.

5. Keep himself/ herself up to date for various elements of costing machine hour rates, labour rates, raw material prices etc.

6. Carryout the financial risk assessment of the suppliers. 

7. Alert all responsible person at purchasing for the financially unhealthy suppliers and recommended necessary actions.
