Role Description The Experienced Sales Manager will lead and grow sales initiatives, focusing on identifying new business opportunities, nurturing client relationships, and driving revenue for Softrate™. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing the sales pipeline, developing and executing sales strategies, preparing proposals and presentations, and negotiating contracts with clients. The role involves close collaboration with marketing, product, and delivery teams to align solutions with client needs and market demands. The Experienced Sales Manager will also mentor and guide members of the sales team, monitor performance metrics, and provide regular reporting to leadership. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in B2B sales, account management, and business development, with a proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Experience in sales strategy, pipeline management, and forecasting within the technology or software services sector.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to build long-term client relationships.
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and delivery teams to shape client-focused solutions.
- Relevant experience leading or mentoring sales professionals and contributing to team performance and growth.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, including comfort with CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent advanced degree is an advantage.
- Prior experience in IT services or SaaS sales, especially in a fast-paced, innovative environment, is highly beneficial.
