We are looking for a senior UX leader to take end-to-end accountability for the quality, execution, and outcomes of UX delivery across India-led engagements.
This is a delivery leadership role. You will lead senior UX teams through complex client engagements, work directly with senior stakeholders, set the direction for the work, and ensure teams deliver high-quality outcomes that create measurable client and business value.
This role reports to the VP of UX based in the US and works closely with global UX and delivery leadership to ensure strong execution across India-led and global engagements.
You will also play a key role in building the leadership, talent, and delivery capabilities required to scale India as a global UX delivery hub.

What You'll Do
Own Delivery
- Take end-to-end accountability for UX delivery across India-led engagements, from problem definition through final delivery.
- Set the direction, priorities, quality bar, and delivery expectations for complex engagements.
- Stay close enough to the work to identify risks, resolve ambiguity, remove blockers, and step in when senior design leadership is required.
- Ensure UX work is grounded in customer and business needs and connects effectively into product and engineering delivery.
- Hold teams accountable for outcomes, not simply activities or design deliverables.
- Act as the senior UX partner for key clients, building trust with product, technology, and executive stakeholders.
- Bring clarity to complex problems, facilitate alignment, and make sound design and delivery decisions in ambiguous environments.
- Communicate recommendations and outcomes in a way that connects UX decisions to business and customer value.
- Support proposals and new opportunities that require senior design leadership and delivery credibility.
- Build long-term client relationships through the quality and consistency of delivered work.
- Lead and coach UX Leads and senior practitioners through active client delivery.
- Build high-performing cross-functional teams across UX, Research, Strategy, Product, and Engineering.
- Establish and maintain a high-quality bar through hands-on direction, reviews, and timely intervention.
- Develop designers and emerging leaders through real project ownership, feedback, and increasing levels of responsibility.
- Make staffing and team-structure decisions in partnership with delivery leadership based on engagement needs.
- Strengthen the India UX organization to consistently deliver complex global engagements at scale.
- Improve delivery effectiveness through better ways of working, reusable assets, appropriate use of AI, and lessons learned from engagements.
- Hire, develop, and retain strong UX talent and delivery leaders.
- Partner with global leadership to share successful approaches and strengthen consistency across geographies.
- Help position India as a high-quality, reliable delivery hub for global UX engagements.
- 20+ years of experience in UX/product design, with significant experience leading complex client engagements.
- 10+ years leading cross-functional UX/design teams in consulting, digital transformation, enterprise software, or a similar environment.
- A proven track record of owning delivery outcomes across complex engagements—not simply managing a design function.
- Experience leading teams from problem definition through design and implementation.
- Strong executive presence and the ability to build credibility with senior client stakeholders.
- Ability to operate as a player-coach: providing strategic direction while getting into the work when the engagement requires it.
- Strong judgment and decision-making in ambiguous, high-stakes environments.
- Excellent communication, facilitation, storytelling, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Experience working across distributed and multi-geography teams.
- Case studies demonstrating complex engagements, leadership impact, and tangible customer or business outcomes.
- Experience leading large-scale UX/product engagements for enterprise or B2B software.
- A track record of turning around challenged engagements or materially improving delivery quality.
- Experience partnering closely with Product, Engineering, Strategy, and Research leaders.
- Experience with proposal leadership, solution shaping, and account growth through successful delivery.
- Experience using AI-assisted design and delivery tools to improve team effectiveness.
- Experience building and scaling UX delivery teams in India for global clients.
