Role & responsibilities

• Legal Expertise: Demonstrate thorough knowledge of Section 138, the SARFAESI Act, and the Arbitration Act.
• Representation: Attend courts, forums, tribunals, and statutory bodies to represent the company and provide evidence.
• Advocacy & Liaison: Coordinate with empanelled advocates to ensure timely feedback.
• Documentation & Reporting: Maintain the Legal MIS and ensure all details regarding police stations, notices, and replies are captured in the required formats.
• Notice Management: Issue replies to legal notices within 24 hours of receipt.
• Litigation Management: Defend cases filed against the Bank across all forums and initiate arbitration proceedings as required.
• Financial Recovery: Identify "Loss on Sale" cases with respective verticals and initiate appropriate legal proceedings.
• Legal Counsel: Obtain legal opinions for chronic or complex matters.
• Administrative Compliance: Maintain proper filing of postal receipts, acknowledgments, and case copies. Ensure all vendor bills from the preceding month are submitted by the 10th of the succeeding month.
