Executive/ Senior - Hospital Information Systems (HIS)

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the development, enhancement, implementation and support of Hospital Information Systems (HIS/HMIS).
• Manage hospital IT applications and ensure smooth day-to-day functioning of critical healthcare systems.
• Understand hospital workflows and translate business requirements into effective technology solutions.
• Lead development and customization of HIS applications based on organizational requirements.
• Work extensively with Oracle Database, SQL and PL/SQL.
• Develop and optimize complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions, packages and database scripts.
• Troubleshoot application, database and integration-related issues.
• Work closely with hospital departments including OPD, IPD, Billing, Pharmacy, Laboratory, Radiology, OT, MRD, Finance and HR.
• Lead HIS application enhancement, testing, UAT and implementation activities.
• Manage application integrations with EMR/EHR and other healthcare systems.
• Coordinate with internal IT teams and external HIS/application vendors.
• Monitor application performance, data integrity and system availability.
• Identify opportunities for automation and process improvement through technology.
• Ensure appropriate documentation of application architecture, workflows, database procedures and system changes.
• Lead and mentor HIS/application support and development team members.
• Establish effective issue-resolution and escalation mechanisms for hospital users.
• Support management in technology planning, system upgrades and digital transformation initiatives.
• Technical Requirements

Required:

• Experience in HIS / HMIS / Hospital IT / Healthcare IT
• Prior experience with SRIT HIS is preferred.
• Strong experience in hospital information systems and healthcare applications.
• Hands-on experience with Oracle Database.
• Strong knowledge of SQL and PL/SQL.
• Experience in developing complex SQL queries, stored procedures, functions and packages.
• Strong understanding of hospital workflows and healthcare applications.
• Experience in application development, customization, implementation and support.
