Executive / Senior Executive Accounts Statutory Compliance

Job Summary

We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Executive / Senior Executive Accounts (Statutory Compliance) to join our Accounts & Finance team. The candidate should have strong hands-on experience in GST, TDS, taxation, statutory compliance, reconciliations, and audit support.

The ideal candidate should be well-versed in statutory return filing, compliance timelines, and coordination with auditors, consultants, and government authorities. SAP knowledge will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

GST Compliance

• Prepare and file GST returns including GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 and GSTR-9C, wherever applicable.
• Perform GSTR-2B reconciliation with purchase register and books of accounts.
• Monitor and reconcile Input Tax Credit (ITC).
• Verify GST applicability and correctness of transactions.
• Ensure timely compliance with E-Invoicing and E-Way Bill requirements.
• Reconcile output GST, input GST and electronic credit ledger.
• Handle GST notices, queries, assessments and departmental correspondence.
• Maintain proper GST records and supporting documents.

TDS Compliance

• Calculate, deduct and deposit TDS within the prescribed timelines.
• Prepare and file quarterly TDS returns Form 24Q, Form 26Q, Form 27Q and Form 27EQ, as applicable.
• Generate and issue Form 16 and Form 16A.
• Reconcile TDS payable with books of accounts and Form 26AS / TRACES.
• Resolve TDS mismatches and compliance-related issues.
• Handle TDS notices and correspondence with the Income Tax Department.

Statutory Compliance & Audit

• Monitor statutory compliance calendars and ensure timely completion of all applicable compliances.
• Ensure timely payment of statutory dues.
• Coordinate with Statutory Auditors, Internal Auditors, Tax Consultants and Government Authorities.
• Provide required documents and schedules for statutory, internal and tax audits.
• Assist in handling tax assessments and statutory notices.
• Ensure proper maintenance of statutory records and documentation.

Accounting & Reconciliation

• Perform GST, TDS, vendor, customer and general ledger reconciliations.
• Verify accounting entries related to GST, TDS and other statutory transactions.
• Identify and resolve accounting and reconciliation discrepancies.
• Assist in month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Support preparation of MIS reports and financial schedules.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Com / M.Com with 4-9 years of relevant experience.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in GST & TDS statutory compliance will be preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing organization is preferred.
• Should be able to independently handle routine statutory compliance activities.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
